Thought of the Day

haha.jpg

AKU MALAAAS~ nuff sed~ But since I’m feeling a bit jiwang tonight I am gonna leave you with this old skool music video from Brandy Feat. Wanya (of Boyz II Men fame) appropriately entitled Brokenhearted… I remember when this song first came out in the mid 90s…i was lyk 10… and I’d sing along to Wanya’s verse while attempting to follow his ‘runs’…angguk-angguk kepala included….but instead, ended up singap-singap trying to catch my breath.. hahah.. well anyways, enjoy… *sigh*

I’m not screaming. I’m Samuel L Jackson

hey guys, honestly speaking… I’ve been uninspired lately.. even more so right now, coz as i’m typing this, my cat is taking a piss in her litter box while giving me what seems to be the ”what u lookin’ at u perv!” look…..what a pretty sight… so anyways, slept at 4am.. woke up at 6 coz ’someone’ woke me up… hahaha~ no problem lah kambeng ;) .. of course, ku sambung tidur ku and ended up waking up at 2pm….woweeee~! now that’s what I call sehat… haha…*sigh* so boring lah dis… i think I’ve come to a stage where I wanna work.. not only coz I’m broke.. but i’m seriously bored outta my mind man…. oh well..  other than that… i’ve been feeling un-funny lately as well..not that I’m funny but hey, when i do try, as lame as it turns out to be, at least i end up laughing at them myself..hahaha.. <— see see! but then again, my funny bone senses tells me that inda ikhlas ni ketawa ku awal ani…so that doesn’t count

Under the sea~ under the seaaaa~

1.jpg

it’s true when they say ‘no money no talk’… but with the amount of stash Dubai has, why talk, when you can build the world’s first luxury underwater hotel known as Hydropolis ok before i go on, seriously, what a crappy name..so anyways, developed and designed by Joachim Hauser and costing nearly $590 million to build, the 220-suite hotel should be completed in December. I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concern, as a movie freak.. anything involving buildings under the sea always ends up being attacked by some sea creature of some sort….so no thanx…

In order to enter this surreal space, visitors will begin at the land station. This 120m woven, semicircular cylinder will arch over a multi-storey building

2.jpg

Hydropolis is about to take shape 20m below the surface of the Arabian Gulf, just off the Jumeirah Beach. The land belongs to His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and was his last free beach property on this stretch of coast

3.jpg

Hauser plans to incorporate many different elements associated with the sea. He views his creation as a place where those who do not dive – or do not even swim – can experience the tranquillity and inspiration of the underwater world

4.jpg

The upper storeys of the land station house a variety of facilities, including a cosmetic surgical clinic, a marine biological research laboratory and conference facilities

Self-Cleaning Underwear

ndrwrslfcln.jpg

Developed by the US Air Force, this is the self-cleaning underwear that kills bacteria and forces liquids to bead and roll off…Intially, this was probably developed for the convenience of people who do not have access to the laundromat… yet, I think this will be way more popular with those lazy asses out there who can’t be bothered with having to clean their undies…on the brighter side of things, this may even be a dream come true to serious bloggers out there who can’t seem to get off their seats for even a sec to go to the toilet… yes, a definite eeeeeeew moment, but possible…

McGuffin

‘Lo…went to lunch w/ G’rol and Ummi today di Tutong…jadi lampost tangah-tangah..next tym they take me out.. inda ku ‘duli… asak-asak ku tangah holding both their hands….haha… other than that..didn’t do shit….so lucky for you.. no stupid pictures for now…and i’m feeling restless tonight after watching not one but TWO crappy B-movies …the second one being ‘Bloodsuckers‘… which was basically about vampires from space wanting to take over the universe… wow~ what a plot… so i suppose my mind’s currently on shut down mode and de-motivated to even blog tonight after watching crap lyk that… except for this post of course…soooo~ since it’s still iPhone season (more iPhone news to come! c’mon~ admit it~ ur excited~ haha), I’ll just leave you with this clip which further demonstrates that the iPhone is more than a phone with a hint of the iPod….check it out….a definite must-buy *gives thumbs up w/ a fake “buy this or I’ll surely kick ur ass” smile* heeee~

Whack The Sack *woooweee!!!*

ahoy there Shit(Soil) heads! I was shisha high last night, hence the no updates from last night… *phew* what a day what a day~.. I actually slipped and fell on the tiled floor (and not to mention hard tiled floor) today right after aku ngambil air wu’du.. now my arm kinda hurts.. and my toe is swollen and.. *checks* yes, still bleeding from the cut…~ but thankfully nothing is broken and last i checked…nothing seems to be out of place or crooked..haha….so anyways, we went menabas at one of our tanahs in the afternoon… wait..actually they were nabas-ing.. while I was there taking pictures….and uumm.. well..just look at the pix below…. haha.. give me a break will ya… im “injured”…

ypeesmall.jpg  pool2.jpg rndeers.jpg smseng.jpg htch.jpg gtwood2.jpg pdnkr1.jpg

ok..just so I didn’t waste your time and leave you empty handed visiting my site… I’m gonna do something nice today by posting an exclusive picture of Megatron from the upcoming Tranformers Live-action movie…my opinion with regards to it? well, unlike many out there who think otherwise.. i think it looks neat…i mean, obviously its way different from the Gen 1 design.. but then again, I don’t think the original Megatron design would work in the big screen… HOWEVER, what’s with the pose? If I was to make a caption for it.. it’d definately be… “Tada! Happy Birthday Lil Sally!” kan kan kan?~ haha.. enjoy :)

For Sale: World’s Smallest Country

No, like this is some real shit… apparently ‘Prince Roy’ of  the Principality of Sealand is selling his Kingdom…but here’s the thing… It’s claim of soveregnty and legitimacy isn’t even recognized by any country.. for a good reason that is.. i mean, for goodness sake, this so-called Kingdom is actually just a wartime fort perched on two concrete towers in the North Sea with an area of 5920 sq. ft. Founded by, Paddy Roy Bates who brought along his family (they make up the total population) and proclaimed themselves as royalty, even has its own flag, stamps, currency, national anthem and passports… who knows, maybe even their own language… So now, according to his son Michael… they had been approached by estate agents with clients “who wanted a bit more than a bit of real estate, they wanted autonomy.” He suggested Sealand, which has eight rooms in each tower, could be a base for online gambling or offshore banking.  Asked to describe the delights of living on what he described as a cross between a house and a ship, the 54-year-old said: “The neighbors are very quiet. There is a good sea view.” … Well DUH! it’s in the middle of the freakin’ ocean! so anyways, I for one is interested nevertheless..afterall, buying a country is one step away from taking over the world~ even if it’s a piece of crap.. hahaha..”i’m the king of the world! woooo!” *Titanic theme song in the background*

Why Apple Probably Doesn’t Give A Hanky-Panky About Being Sued

tipoonepal.jpg

Ok, I’m sure everyone knows by now that Cisco, the company which pretty much registered the name iPhone is suing Apple for.. well….using the name iPhone… though Cisco was about to make an agreement to hand over the registered trademark to Apple, they kinda got pissed since Jobs introduced the iPhone before an agreement between the two companies was even settled.. so what better way to earn extra cash than to take advantage of the situation and sue their ass! weee!!.. so anways, myself along w/ other gadget-related websites have a feeling that Apple may get away with it as the cellphone’s real name is the Apple iPhone. I mean, as you can tell from the Apple TV logo above, there’s an Apple logo preceding the “TV” part in the name, hence, Apple TV. So many are assuming that the same apply to the ‘Apple’ iPhone..nyeeh~ we’ll just hafta see..

okie dokie… I’ll just leave it here for tonight~  “The ‘King’ has left the building…” tata~

Ter-put put put puuuuttt~

gojeng.jpg I’m sleepy.. yet I feel like blogging~ .. seriously~ one of those boreng ass days is back…and today is the day… so selooow maaan~ I mean slow to the extent that I’de rather…. hmmm~ rather~ ok I hate it when smthing melintas ur head and instead of stopping, it jst goes straight ahead….but then again, I was probably gonna say something really tulah lyk “…I’de rather play strip poker w/ ur mama” or something like that… so it’s a good thing i forgot so nevermind….but u get my point… oh, my iPhone post got a mention in the  Global Voices Online … didn’t really notice until Maurina sent me an email that morning… I was lyk ”banar kah inda anak ani.. *squint eyes and scratching my butt* …hahah… thanks Maaaau~ sadly enough, that was probably the highlight of today… the rest was jst… “ppffffttttt~” … *sigh* eh

After months of speculating about the iPhone, shitsoil from Brunei, which is 16 hours ahead of San Francisco, was up in the wee hours of the morning breathlessly awaiting the news from Macworld:

Steve Job is probably on stage showing off Apple’s new hardware/gadget’s as I am typing this… oh wait.. as a matter of fact Steve Job just got on stage! (9:14)ok, we don’t know… well, I don’t know what’s going on at the moment.. but the word is… the Apple Phone may be announced afterall according to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal…and there’s also much talk about an Apple Gaming.. whatever that is~ ok..I’m too lazy to wait and check out the Live updates.. so I’ll probably post more about this tomorrow/later.. keep on visiting

Shitsoil delayed his bedtime even further to update his post with a bit of cheerleading for the iPhone (and to sweep aside the poor AppleTV, the other device that Jobs introduced in his keynote):

IM SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!! just when I was about to go to bed~ I just had to post this!!! ok… So yes, first the iTV (it’s actually called AppleTV) was introduced.. but f*** that.. coz the iPHONE exists!! and yes, it’s gonna be called an iPhone!!”

For your info.. I wasn’t cheerleading ok…..ok fine, maybe I was…I can’t seem to remember considering it was in the ‘wee hours’..so anything could’ve happened… but i definatley didn’t have poms-poms with me… haha.. and oh.. how unprofessional of me.. i said ‘f*ck’…. oh well, it’s not like I fuckin’ swear all the fuckin’ time…

Lexus IS-F Pt. II

Remember my post with regards to the upcoming Lexus IS-F… well, I just got exclusive ‘FULL BODY’ pictures of the actual car… enjoy :)

27_2008-is-f.jpg

The speculation and hearsay is finally over. Lexus, having failed to match the basic BMW 3-series with the IS, is going straight for the big dog M3 with its new IS-F. Under the massively bulged hood you see here is a 5.0-liter beast of a V-8 engine putting out over 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Behind big nineteen-inch BBS front wheels lie six-pot aluminum Brembo calipers–the first ever with “Lexus” written across them–squeezing down on 14.2-inch perforated discs that hope to also clamp down on the lips of Lexus-doubters.

01_2008-is-f.jpg

The IS-F borrows its far-beyond-necessity eight-speed transmission from the LS, but unlike in the LS, gearbox can be controlled via wheel-mounted paddles. Lexus claims that upshifts are popped off in a tenth of a second, and downshifts are met with automated blips of the throttle to match engine revs.

02_2008-is-f.jpg

The IS-F rides up to an inch lower than other IS models, and is wider overall thanks to flared wheel surrounds and ridiculous brake vents behind the front wheels. At the rear, the IS-F is distinguished by unique, stacked quad exhaust outlets. Aluminum trim and sport seats–finished in black or white leather–define the interior, along with a special button for a new three-mode version of VDIM, Lexus’s stability control system. Like similar systems from BMW and Cadillac, the driver can chose from a full-on stability mode, a sport mode that allows for some hoonery, and a full off mode that opens the flood gate for full drift action.

04_2008-is-f.jpg

And full-on drifts won’t be a problem with all that power. Lexus estimates a 0-60 mph time of less than 4.9 seconds for the IS-F, which is the first Lexus “F” cars. “F” will be the designation for sporty Lexus cars, much like “M” is to BMW, “AMG” to Mercedes, and “S” and “RS” are to Audi.

12_2008-is-f.jpg

Lexus general manager Bob Carter says that “the intent of creating the IS-F was not to be a competitor to other performance-sport sedans. Rather, the goal was to create a true performance sedan in a uniquely Lexus way-one that is totally authentic with a unique interpretation of raw driving thrill at all speeds and provides a whole new definition of ‘usable power.’” We hope that this unique interpretation is something brand new, because the Lexus experience we think of leans toward the numb, soulless side of the scale. With the debut of the IS-F, the task of creating a real performer appears to be complete for Lexus engineers. But now the real test begins. Can the fusing of the words “Lexus” and “performance” capture the hearts of the enthusiasts who matter? We’ll find out when the IS-F arrives at dealerships in early 2008.

Cat Genie

toire.jpg

You know how much I love ’stupid’ gadgets so here’s one….This is the Cat Genie… as you can probably tell by the picture it is obviously some cat pooping device which ridiculously costs $350… but then again, maybe it’s not so ridiculous at all.. I mean, not only does it look like a toilet, it actually is a toilet. Instead of traditional scooping cat litter, the granules are washed and dried while the solid turds are scooped and liquefied and flushed down an actual toilet or drain. When I get the money.. I’m thinking of getting one…….for my cat? No silly~ with this thing worth 300 bucks.. I’ll be the one using it… and hope my parents will be fed up with me squatting on this thing and eventually decide to make me my own en suite… hahaha.. *evil laugh*

kukukuku.jpg heey~ unfortunately.. it’s one of those days when I really don’t have anything to ramble about.. since I didn’t do shit.. so I’ll just go on with the updates…… (UPDATE) ok.. I’m so excited over the iPhone at the moment sampai kan te-pipis~! ok..maybe not to that extent but excited nevertheless…but then again, it’s coming out here in ASIA next year.. which is good i suppose.. for me at least..haha.. coz there is no way I can afford it at the moment mun mbali Nasi Katok pun mikir 2 kali.. haha.yes, that’s how broke I am… hahahaha..but it’s probably just one of those phases where everyone is all jumpy about it and the next thing you know, everyone (especially here in Brunei!) will have them (probably before I do) and they’ll be so Ordinary by then that me walking around in my Superman Pajamas will make me look more distinct…ok.. what are we talking about again?

Press Release

MACWORLD SAN FRANCISCO—January 9, 2007—Apple® today introduced iPhone, combining three products—a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod® with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, searching and maps—into one small and lightweight handheld device. iPhone introduces an entirely new user interface based on a large multi-touch display and pioneering new software, letting users control iPhone with just their fingers. iPhone also ushers in an era of software power and sophistication never before seen in a mobile device, which completely redefines what users can do on their mobile phones.

“iPhone is a revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We are all born with the ultimate pointing device—our fingers—and iPhone uses them to create the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse.”

iPhone is a Revolutionary Mobile Phone

iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone that allows users to make calls by simply pointing at a name or number. iPhone syncs all of your contacts from your PC, Mac® or Internet service such as Yahoo!, so that you always have your full list of up-to-date contacts with you. In addition, you can easily construct a favorites list for your most frequently made calls, and easily merge calls together to create conference calls.

iPhone’s pioneering Visual Voicemail, an industry first, lets users look at a listing of their voicemails, decide which messages to listen to, then go directly to those messages without listening to the prior messages. Just like email, iPhone’s Visual Voicemail enables users to immediately randomly access those messages that interest them most.

iPhone includes an SMS application with a full QWERTY soft keyboard to easily send and receive SMS messages in multiple sessions. When users need to type, iPhone presents them with an elegant touch keyboard which is predictive to prevent and correct mistakes, making it much easier and more efficient to use than the small plastic keyboards on many smartphones. iPhone also includes a calendar application that allows calendars to be automatically synced with your PC or Mac.

iPhone features a 2 megapixel camera and a photo management application that is far beyond anything on a phone today. Users can browse their photo library, which can be easily synced from their PC or Mac,
with just a flick of a finger and easily choose a photo for their wallpaper or to include in an email.

iPhone is a quad-band GSM phone which also features EDGE and Wi-Fi wireless technologies for data networking. Apple has chosen Cingular, the best and most popular carrier in the US with over 58 million subscribers, to be Apple’s exclusive carrier partner for iPhone in the US.

iPhone is a Widescreen iPod

iPhone is a widescreen iPod with touch controls that lets music lovers “touch” their music by easily scrolling through entire lists of songs, artists, albums and playlists with just a flick of a finger. Album artwork is stunningly presented on iPhone’s large and vibrant display.

iPhone also features Cover Flow, Apple’s amazing way to browse your music library by album cover artwork, for the first time on an iPod. When navigating your music library on iPhone, you are automatically switched into Cover Flow by simply rotating iPhone into its landscape position.

iPhone’s stunning 3.5-inch widescreen display offers the ultimate way to watch TV shows and movies on a pocketable device, with touch controls for play-pause, chapter forward-backward and volume. iPhone plays the same videos purchased from the online iTunes® Store that users enjoy watching on their computers and iPods, and will soon enjoy watching on their widescreen televisions using the new Apple TV™. The iTunes Store now offers over 350 television shows, over 250 feature films and over 5,000 music videos.

iPhone lets users enjoy all their iPod content, including music, audiobooks, audio podcasts, video podcasts, music videos, television shows and movies. iPhone syncs content from a user’s iTunes library on their PC or Mac, and can play any music or video content they have purchased from the online iTunes store.

iPhone is a Breakthrough Internet Communications Device

iPhone features a rich HTML email client which fetches your email in the background from most POP3 or IMAP mail services and displays photos and graphics right along with the text. iPhone is fully multi-tasking, so you can be reading a web page while downloading your email in the background.

Yahoo! Mail, the world’s largest email service with over 250 million users, is offering a new free “push” IMAP email service to all iPhone users that automatically pushes new email to a user’s iPhone, and can be set up by simply entering your Yahoo! name and password. iPhone will also work with most industry standard IMAP and POP based email services, such as Microsoft Exchange, Apple .Mac Mail, AOL Mail, Google Gmail and most ISP mail services.

iPhone also features the most advanced and fun-to-use web browser on a portable device with a version of its award-winning Safari™ web browser for iPhone. Users can see any web page the way it was designed to be seen, and then easily zoom in to expand any section by simply tapping on iPhone’s multi-touch display with their finger. Users can surf the web from just about anywhere over Wi-Fi or EDGE, and can automatically sync their bookmarks from their PC or Mac. iPhone’s Safari web browser also includes built-in Google Search and Yahoo! Search so users can instantly search for information on their iPhone just like they do on their computer.

iPhone also includes Google Maps, featuring Google’s groundbreaking maps service and iPhone’s amazing maps application, offering the best maps experience by far on any pocket device. Users can view maps, satellite images, traffic information and get directions, all from iPhone’s remarkable and easy-to-use touch interface.

iPhone’s Advanced Sensors

iPhone employs advanced built-in sensors—an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor—that automatically enhance the user experience and extend battery life. iPhone’s built-in accelerometer detects when the user has rotated the device from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display accordingly, with users immediately seeing the entire width of a web page, or a photo in its proper landscape aspect ratio.

iPhone’s built-in proximity sensor detects when you lift iPhone to your ear and immediately turns off the display to save power and prevent inadvertent touches until iPhone is moved away. iPhone’s built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display’s brightness to the appropriate level for the current ambient light, thereby enhancing the user experience and saving power at the same time.

Pricing & Availability

iPhone will be available in the US in June 2007, Europe in late 2007, and Asia in 2008, in a 4GB model for $499 (US) and an 8GB model for $599 (US), and will work with either a PC or Mac. iPhone will be sold in the US through Apple’s retail and online stores, and through Cingular’s retail and online stores. Several iPhone accessories will also be available in June, including Apple’s new remarkably compact Bluetooth headset.

iPhone includes support for quad-band GSM, EDGE, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR wireless technologies.

iPhone requires a Mac with a USB 2.0 port, Mac OS® X v10.4.8 or later and iTunes 7; or a Windows PC with a USB 2.0 port and Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4), Windows XP Home or Professional (Service Pack 2). Internet access is required and a broadband connection is recommended. Apple and Cingular will announce service plans for iPhone before it begins shipping in June.

Mac World 2007 rumors

mcwrld07.jpg

I’m sure everyone knows that MacWorld is today! well..Tuesday in the States that is~ ok I’m excited nevertheless~ so I’m gonna do a last minute ‘what to expect at MacWorld’ entry… here it goes…

The rumor mill has been circulating like crazy lately on the internet with regards to what will and what won’t be introduced by Steve Job in this year’s MacWorld… These “gadgets” range from a Touch Screen iPod, OSX aka Leopard, the iPhone and a couple more.. so what are the odds of them being released… well… thanks to the internet, I came across these…

iLife, iApps ‘07: 99.99%
Apple dumps its updated suite of apps on us every year at this time—so why should 07 be any different? We’ve already seen leaks on Amazon and various other sites. The only reason is if they’re holding it back for a simultaneous Leopard release, which is unlikely, and leads us to…

OS X Leopard: 45%
From the developers releases Apple’s been distributing, Leopard’s not quite ready for release. They’re still adding in features, fixing bugs, and tightening up various loose ends. It’s very unlikely that they’ll have Leopard ready for release on Tuesday, but Steve will definitely talk about it.

lprdosx.jpg

iTV: 50%
From what we’re hearing
, iTV’s not quite ready for public consumption. The delay supposedly comes from OS problems, which is strange seeing as it’s not too hard to put together a set top box. Maybe they’re putting HD into it?

itv.jpg

Touchscreen iPod: 85%
After the mediocre improvement at Showtime
in September, Apple better have something impressive to show the world that the iPod is still the king in media players. Some kind of connectivity to catch up to the Zune would be nice, but unlikely. But there should definitely be some iPod news.

tchscreepod.jpg

Truckload of more video content for iTunes: 90%
There hasn’t been all that many additions to the iTunes movie store since launch. Our guess is Apple’s been bundling them all up for a massive dump come MacWorld. Kind of boring, but boring enough to be true.

Apple Phone: 55%
All signs point to the existence of a phone, but whether it’s coming now is still iffy. We’re leaning towards a yes, but not for countries other than the US at first
.

epalpon.jpg

Various Sized Cinema Displays With iSight: 75%
The fact that the iSight has been night unpurchaseable from Apple for a couple months now points us to the fact that they’re dumping old stock in time for new iSights. Whether this means it’ll be just standalone iSights—possibly with HD—or Cinema Displays with built-in iSights is still iffy.

Updated Mac Pro with Quad-Core or Blu-ray Support: 65%
The quad-core may be coming, but Blu-ray may not. Then again, it may. That’s why this is a tossup.

iTablet: 10%
Unlikely. There hasn’t been any sign of this other than the patents. It usually takes Apple a little while to go from filing patents to pushing out a product.

itablet.jpg

well… we’ll just have to wait and see on Tuesday :)

Banana needs protection too

ok.. this is my ‘merepek’ entry.. so what do I have in store today? well..this is the BananaBunker… a banana protector which prevents it from getting bruised or squished…something for those who are serious (too serious I’de say) about their bananas.. no, I’m talking about an actual banana here… I mean, sure it does look like something you’de get from an adult store… but yes, IT IS an actual Banana protector guys.. I don’t know what the guy who designed this was thinking…in fact, I don’t wanna knw..but c’mon, he could’ve at least Man-ed it up a bit by maybe putting a picture of Pam Anderson on it or even make it less dildo-ish-like for that matter… sheesh~ so if you ever want u or ur kids to get beaten up by bullies.. this is jst might do the trick… looking back at the picture.. it’s pretty disturbing…
