I was bored tonight… ok, bila jua ku inda keborengan but that’s beside the point.. so yes, i was bored so I went Youtube hopping tonight browsing through old Al Green, Donny Hathaway, Stevie videos.. and I came across a live version of Earth Wind & Fire’s ‘Reasons’… this has got to be on of the best live performances I’ve come across… it even sounds way better than the original recording…so anyways, Phillip Bailey’s falsetto and high notes are just flawless man…I always sing along to ’Reasons’  and everytime i (obviously fail) attempt reaching for the high notes, mcm kan te-kantut ’ja inda ulih nya….inda ku heran kalau pernah sekali i probably went “Reasons~ *proot* the reasons that we *proot* heear~..” …but this is super suh-mooooth man…

Shyza menyzaa~ I’ve been away for quite some time haven’t I..no good excuse really.. I’ve jst been really lazy updating it…the only reason I posted the iPod post was just for the sake of posting it.. i mean, shitsoil wouldn’t be shitsoil if I didn’t blog about it…atu pun kusut ku menaip ah…i really dunno..my blogging mood’s been absent.. or as c Dud would say, aku inda lagi cali coz of my recent diagnosed high blood pressure..hahah….. maybe that’s even true!.. hahaha….i’m really going back and forth on whether i should shut down this blog or not…syg jua.. tapi malasku jua.. decisions decisions….i’ll just see how it goes…….. well anyways, I know it’s long over-due but Selamat Berpuasa to everyone…

Today’s Shitsoil Worthy Headline:

After a long series of technical problems with one of Nepal’s two Boeing 757s, rather than get their engineers to fix the problem they resorted to a more effective measure – sacrfice two goats in front of their plane ……….and it worked…

so what happened was, the plane was refusing to start its engines before a fligh to Hong Kong so at that point senior officials of the airline decided to sacrfice two goats to Akash Bhairab who apparently is the god of sky protection…and like i said it worked… or so they say… local media however reported that the problem was an electrical malfunction… but i refuse to accept that coz the whole sacrificing mumbo jumbo sounds way cooler…. pffft~ “electrical malfunction”…

The Beat Goes On

So another Apple Keynote was held ..or i think IS held today in the States as a matter of fact. With  a tagline ‘The Beat Goes On’, it is no surprise to people that the enveiling of the next gen iPod will be the main event… so as many have guessed, yes.. it is a touch screen iPod aka the iPod Touch… much like its recently released iPhone, the iPod is.. well..it has a touch screen interface…so what’s so special about it? well.. it has wi-fi, with Safari, YouTube and the iTunes Wi-Fi music store. Unfortunately it is not hard-drive based, just flash…

The Specs: 22hours of battery playing music, 5 hours of vide, and two sizes – 8GB and 16GB priced at $299 and $399 resepctively… it’s gonna be available ina  few weeks time worldwide so better start saving up boys and girls…

so what else does Apple have in store along with the iPod touch.. here’s just a recap lah saja.. so I won’t have to go into detail… pokoknya the specs are expected and the price affordable..

well here’s the Apple iPod classic.. which is jst a revamped ersion of the classic clickwheel iPod.. it comes in black and silver.. unfortunately no white..

next up.. the iPod Nano which i mentioned in my last blog post about a week ago.. its basically an iPod kana picak.. hence the short yet wide body.. and the big screen (2″ screen, 320×240 pixels.. and of course it plays Videos…so it won’t be left out..

last but not least the updated iPod Shuffle… well like i said.. it’s just an updated version of it… with new colors available… nuff said..

Well, unlike the iPhone.. the good news is that you won;t have to wait that long for these to be available in stores…with the iPod Touch available within a few weeks… it is safe to say that the Apple Classic, iPod Nano Video and the Shuffle will be available in stores this weekend (in the States of course)..so I’m assuming it’ll be here in Brunei not long after…
