Sony Ericsson announces a Bluetooth wristwatch that displays caller ID and much more from your mobile phone. Known as the MBW-100, the watch is made by Fossil. The analog watch with stainless steal casing has a small OLED display that shows incoming calls. Pushing a button on the watch can decline the call. Other features include out-of-range warning, SMS indication and play, pause and skip control for the mobile phone music player. The MBW-100 is compatible with the Sony Ericsson K610, K610i, K618, K790, K800, V630, W710, W850, Z610, Z710 mobile phones. The Sony Ericsson Bluetooth wristwatch MBW-100 will go on sale globally during the 4th Quuarter of 2006 (so I’m assuming it’s already out or will be out very soon…just in time for x-mas) with a guideline retail price of approximately EUR 300.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

rps.jpg

A friend of mine was being random tonight and brought up a topic on ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’… and thanx to her.. i definately learned something new today….haha… particularly on the various names of the game which included Chus/Chos; what was the other one….‘kompeng’??; courtesy of yours truly – Jan Ken Pon; Schnick, Schnack, Schnuck; and my personal favourite… CHING CHONG CHA! *”AHA! I chose CHING! I WIN!”* hahaha… so from one simple topic, I just had to be my pemajal self and look deeper into it..(talk about being jobless..haha).. but I did find interesting bits about the game…for instance, did you know that in 2006, Federal Judge Gregory Presnell from the Middle District of Florida ordered opposing sides in a lengthy court case to settle a trivial (but lengthily debated) point over the appropriate place for a deposition using the game of rock-paper-scissors….SEE! I bet you didn’t know that.. so anyways, METHODS OF CHEATING:

1. One of the first tricks learned by a Rock-Paper-Scissors novice is to hold back a throw of paper until the last possible moment to dupe an opponent into believing that one may actually be throwing a rock. Both paper and scissors have this ability; however, unless one is employing a “double-back” strategy, cloaking a paper throw is likely to draw an instinctive paper from one’s opponent. If the throw is accidentally revealed too late, that is, not revealed until the thrower’s arm breaks the plane where the thrower’s arm is perpendicular to the thrower’s torso (at a 90 degree angle), this is considered a foul. In such a case the referee will assign a throw of rock, even if this is not what the thrower intended. This is known as a “forced rock.”

2. Another way to cheat is to prime three times instead, if the opponent primed twice only, the other could see his opponent’s throw without revealing his own, claiming that he thought “I thought we are doing three primes”. Note: ‘priming’ is the number of bounces one does before revealing the throw.

3. Yet another method of cheating is to play scissors but put it right up to the other player’s eyes. The other player might then without realizing it put his/her hand up to block it. The cheater would then claim, “Scissors beats paper.”

I am honestly the type of person who is willing to do.. or has done cheating #2 & 3…. and just a friendly tip…when you do decide to try this, try giving an innocent/cute look when you lie… though I could never pull the whole ‘cute’ look off, it might just work for the rest of you…and being super ‘Kiut’ is a plus…. so who should I thank for tonight’s ‘omong kosong’….well, none other than c BULAT! sorry Sa, but  in ShitSoil there’s no such thing as anonymity..hahaha.. By the power of CHING CHONG CHAAAAAAAA~! 😛

The Pursuit Of Happyness

tpoh.jpg

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Fresh Prince himself in the bigscreen nowadays…. but no need to fret as Will Smith will be next seen on Sony Picture’s, The Pursuit of Happyness. Inspired by a true story, it tells the story of a man named Chris Gardner (Will Smith), a bright and talented, but marginally employed salesman. Struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son (played by Will’s real son) evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, he and his son  endure many hardships, including living in shelters, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them. It comes out on Dec 15 2006..and I just hope this movie is as good and inspiring as what is shown in the trailer…definately in my ‘must watch’ list… click poster for the trailer

“Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something. …You got a dream, you gotta protect it… If you want something, go get it. Period.”
